We did a quick clean up of both abodes. In a strange twist, I guess we weren’t meant to say goodbye to Tiny Pine yesterday! We still had the cooler that we had borrowed for our lunches this week as well as a staple hammer, utility knives and insulation wire supports. All things that Alyssa still needs!! So, we did a quick drop off so we could be on the road for our 3 1/2 hour trip to SAN FRANCISCO!
Upon arriving in San Francisco, we headed to Pier 39! Saw some seals up close lounging on the boat docks. They are bigger than you think! We split up so we could see the sites we were interested in. Found a great souvenir shop where, I believe, my group bought at least one thing! We met up, piled into the van and followed Debby to drop off the truck at the rental place. We picked up Debby and headed to DoubleTree hotel. Mike headed out to get dinner (pizza and salad) while the rest of us settled into our rooms. Thank goodness for Mike!!
After a quick dinner, the youth put on terrific performances. Unfortunately, Mike had to return the van rental so he missed the skits. But Kirsten made videos so he could watch (and chuckle) later. In the show, no one was off limits. The camaraderie and feeling of family was evident throughout the performances. My favorite skit was the Rigatoni vs Penne family set in the 1940s. There were so many skits. Loved every LIVE minute!
We retired to our rooms knowing we had to be up to leave at 3:30 from the hotel for our early 6:05 flight.
