Day 2

6am Breakfast and Chico University

We met in the dining room of the hotel at 8:00 am for breakfast, where we were all bright eyed and bushy tailed, wink, wink. As all the tables were taken, we enjoyed our breakfast sitting in the lobby and discussing the plans for the day. Debby & Laura were looking for salt and pepper for their eggs, none could be found, so without hesitation they walked up to occupied tables and asked to borrow the salt and pepper shakers on the table, fortunately for them the people were very accommodating.

Once breakfast was concluded we all went back to our rooms to gather our belongings and meet back in the lobby for 10 am, to load our 12 plus bags of luggage and ourselves into the van. Mike was very skeptical that this feat could be accomplished. We all rose to the challenge and successfully fit ourselves and all our luggage into the van for the 2-hour ride to San Francisco to pick up the rental pickup truck. Not that we were all still tired but Jay did make the comment that it was the quietest ride he thinks he´s had yet! After getting the pickup truck, we then headed to Jack in the Box for lunch, AI was playing with us though, and when we arrived at the location there was no Jack in the Box to be found. Do not be worried though we quickly rebounded from the disappointment and all happily ate Wendy´s for lunch.

After lunch we headed to our house and cottage that we are staying in, as the house was getting some maintenance done, we unloaded everything from the two vehicles into the cottage and then all climbed into the van, which was quite cozy with not having to share the space with our luggage, to head to our outside virtual scavenger hunt at the Presbyterian Church at Chico University campus. We then split into 3 teams, led by Mike, Laura, and Jay with trusty phones in hand we then proceeded to try to find the stolen wolverine mascot statue by following the clues given, the trick was you did not get your next clue without solving the first clue. The competition between the groups was fierce and the 3 teams were neck and neck, however Laura´s team successfully completed all the clues first to be the winners!
